Joe Spain iII has been crafting his comedicJoe Spain III has been crafting his comedy mostly in the DMV/Delmarva area for over seven years.  His quick wit, say anything tactics and overall stage presence approach to comedy make him a must see.  Joe’s comedy is thought provoking, shocking and honest every time.  Whether he is telling a funny story or ripping one liners,  he will keep you guessing while laughing.  “Normal” issues become twisted with a touch of raunchy as you go for a journey into hilarity.  Joe has performed with a who’s who of regional talent and has carved out his own lane in the comedy community.  He will entertain and break ribs. 

By day, Michael Wolcott is a filmmaker by day, Comic by night. He blends sharp wit with raw honesty.  exploring the absurdities of fatherhood, addiction, privilege, and the strange socioeconomic crossroads humanity faces. From the highs and lows of being a basketball dad to deep dives into existentialism, science fiction, and race, Michael finds humor in the chaos of life. With a fearless approach and a knack for storytelling, he delivers laughs that linger long after the set is over.

Shawna Henry is an up an coming local comic! She is a regular at Dream Big Venues and has been getting booked locally, and was recently featured on the Good Karma Comedy Festival!

where “Comics and the Community” come together and #LetHumorWork to make BIG decisions!

Do you have a big decision to make? Do you want the input of a Retired Comic, a Comic and a Titan of the Community?

On this show you get 2 minutes to share you story… an original comedy set or a novel problem you want input on or to bring attention too!

Format: One Stage; Three “Experts”; and an audience of Comics and Community Members that have something to share!

• Everyone (EVERYONE) pays $10 to enter the room;

• Anyone “Comic or Community Member” that wants to go on stage will put their name (real or fictitious) in a bucket

• Six names will be pulled at random to come on stage for 10 minutes

• Comics: 5 minute (original set) and 5 minutes of feedback (no holds barred!)

• Community Member: 2 minute set and 8 minute discussion (genuine Caring thoughts with a HUMOR twist!)

Headliner Jared Stern

Jared has been making complete strangers laugh at him for twenty years and counting. From humble beginnings at a hole-in-the-wall club in Baltimore in 2002, he is now the most humble person in the world, not that he’s one to brag about it. He was recently told that his comedy was “top drawer”, which is where he keeps his socks and underwear, so that makes sense.

During his career he has performed with the likes of Mike Birbiglia, Judah Friedlander, Richard Lewis, ISMO, Orny Adams, John Witherspoon, Jon Lovitz, Emo Philips, and Caroline Rhea. He was voted the 2023 & 2024 (and 2013) Best Comedian in D.C. by the readers of the Washington City Paper. He was a featured performer at the 2017 What A Joke Fest, the 2018 LaughFest, the 2019 Oak City Comedy Festival, and the 2023 & 2024 North Carolina Comedy Festival. His new album, Live On Broadway*, is available on all digital platforms. He can be seen in the comedy special, A Couple Of Characters, available on Prime Video, Apple TV+, and other streaming platforms. He is also the co-Jared Stern of the Between Two Sterns podcast.
